Tights Are All About the Color Rage

Happy Tuesday Ocean Dreamers!

So this post is another assignment for my Fashion class, Special Events & Fashion Promotion. I am supposed to do a "mock" layout for a live blog that we hope to have in the spring for Orange Coast College's Fashion department located in the OC. I thought why do a "mock" up version when in fact I have a real blog? So here you go!

Lately I have been seeing tights all over campus, work, and everywhere!
They are definitely in style and work perfectly for the winter time. You can keep your legs covered while staying warm! I personally have a lot of tights in my closet, I love pairing them with a shorter dress or longer shirt, they are so comfy and chic!

I came across quite a few pictures of extreme tights that have many sorts of patterns, designs, and colors. It seems like there is a color rage that is emphasized in our fashion world right now!

I like them and would definitely wear them with a white, tan, or black top or dress. However, not all of us would like to wear tights that scream look at me! :)

What do you think? Would you wear these tights?

These tights aren't as flashy but I loved the pink heels that set them a part!

I really liked how this web site worded the tight trend:

"The choices are fantastic. Everything from fishnets to tassels, glittering, shining, sparkling. Or maybe you prefer a snakeskin pattern? A scroll work design? Plaid? Comic book patterns? Tie dyes? Rainbows? Camouflage? Any way you look at it, the tights of today are available in a vast array of colors & styles to make you think twice before being able to choose just one…or two…or three…"

I love tights and hope you do too! Go and spice up your school, work, or going out wardrobe now!

XOXO,

Marisa Miller - Fave VS Model

I just got done watching The Victoria Secret Fashion Show on TV and now I am all wide awake and pumped! The performances by Black Eyed Peas and Fergi were beyond amazing!

Did any of you watch it? What did you think?

I thought they did a great job, but I was a tad annoyed that their model "search" was a rip off of America's Next Top Model by Tyra Banks. Couldn't they have come up with something more original? Anyway, America's pick was nice. I am happy for the winner.

Believe it or not, I used to dream of being a model when I was in my younger teens. That was until I realized that I wasn't growing beyond 5'6! Darn! Oh well, I can't imagine making it my life style to stay fit and eat well ALL of the time. You really have to admire these ladys' efforts to stay fit and trim. No, I am not supporting skinny models or advocating that this is what I think we should look like. That would be very unrealistic and not to mention unhealthy. I do think though that Marisa is beautiful and hopefully her heart is beautiful too! It is after all their job and they work hard to achieve their VS bods!

Who is your favorite Victoria Secret model?

I love...drum roll please...{duh, I think you already know by all of my pictures but here you go anyway...}

Marisa Miller!!!!!

Here's some amazing pictures of her. She is beautiful.

Wouldn't it be fun being decked out in bows?

Classic pink shirt Marisa to go with PINK by VS!

From what I have heard Marisa seems great in her private life as well. She is very active and likes to surf and loves the ocean. Yes! She is an ocean dreamer, that makes her a winner in my book.

Maybe we should have a little bloggy get together and go out and get cocktails like Sex & the City? Who's with me?

Okay, that was the dreamer coming out in me. Well, you never know. Maybe in the future! :P Have a spicy Tuesday!

Girl Crush - Carrie Underwood

Carrie...you are my girl crush. Not only are you beautiful, but your heart is beautiful. You amaze me because you are classy and are a wonderful role model. No, you are not perfect, but I definitely look up to you. You genuinely care, you sing your heart out, have a strong faith, came from a small town like me, did not let the media destroy you and make you have a bad girl image, and you inspire us to change the world. Along the way you win a few awards, become the best selling female country artist, break a few guy's hearts, and remind us to keep going, because dreams come true!

This post is dedicated to the lovely Carrie Underwood, who just came out with her new album Play On. If you are a fan of Carrie's music you must pick it up, it is soooo good and comes from her heart.

Happy Thursday Ocean Dreamers!

"Carrie Underwood holds the current record for bestselling country debut album by a female artist. "Some Hearts" has sold nearly 7 million copies to date." {from associatedcontent.com}

Carrie Underwood's Official Site: {Carrie's own experiences let her infuse both ends of the spectrum with the sting of truth. "I've seen a lot in the dating world," she says, "and it's not one-dimensional, where I'm in love all the time or hate men all the time. I've been everywhere in between, and through my own experience or that of friends, I've seen every kind of guy, and I think some of these songs capture the everywhereness of being a woman."}

{Given Carrie's emergence as a force for social good in terms of charitable work and humanitarian causes, "Change" is in a very real sense the album's cornerstone.}

{"This is a world so big it can break your heart," she says. "It just seems like there are so many problems. What do you do? Where do you start? Well, there are opportunities every day, so many things around you where you can make a difference. Sometimes it's the smallest thing--the person in this song had just 36 cents, you know?--and I'm really anticipating being able to do some good with this song."}

"I want people to think of me as a nice person. I really am so blessed. All of this has been a great experience and I thank the American public so much for putting me in this position. I appreciate every second of it."

"Throw caution to the wind and just do it." - Carrie

Ha ha, this quote cracks me up! "I don't consider myself sexy ... I'm kind of a nervous person in general. I'm socially awkward. I'm not tall and sensuous. I usually wear sweats everywhere I go. Oh, and I burp a lot."

Don't you just love her? I have to say I always have loved her style too. I never have seen her in a bad outfit. Oh and she is dating Mike Fisher, what a cutie!

Ohhh can it be Friday yet pretty please?

XOXO,
