Be a Beach Babe with Billabong

So last night I went to Balboa Beach for my first bonfire of the summer. It was quite the success and I had such a good time! I definitely am full of smores, but they were sooo good! I also got into a marshmallow fight with my guy friends. Yes, I admit, I was the one to start it. I had so much energy after all of that sugar! Here a couple of pics from last night. Singing and sitting around the fire and watching High School students climb up a pole near by were also highlights of the evening. Ha ha.

With all of my recent travels to the beach, I've really been in the mood to search for bright, fun, and comfortable beach clothing. When I moved to California 6 years ago I immediately began spotting, recognizing, and in return loving all of the beach brand names. One brand name in particular, Billabong, is a brand name I quickly fell in love with. I am one to wear bright and vibrant colors because it makes me feel happy, confident, and ready to hit the beach at any time. So last night when I got back from my bonfire, I opened a fun gift from my mom that I had received. She sent me a bunch of clothing and accessories from Maui! Yay! In the gifts included a lovely tie dye dress, made by Billabong. I'll wear it soon and put a picture on here soon for you all can see.

Anyway, so tonight I have been exploring on the web on the Billabong site because I wanted to see more of this beach wear. I love it!! It's so bright and colorful. So fun.

But....not only did I come across some lovely outfits, I found out that Billabong has a nonprofit organization event that they do once a year in Hollywood. The proceeds for the concert and fashion show goes to help create new and improved water for people in third world countries, which I found to be very rad. Here's the site for you to check it out, which is called Design For Humanity. I was super bummed that I missed it by a short week! I'll have to try and go next year. What a great way to raise money, and to see all of the new styles that are coming out as well!

I am by no means a surfer. I want to learn, but I think I would suck. I can see myself stumbling and hitting my head on coral. Ha ha, I went with Big Kiddo once in the ocean and got sucked down by a huge wave! Awww, but that is a story for another day. Anyway, I find these pictures to be eye candy and fun to wear at the beach, all from Billabong. Also check out Pac Sun for some of the other styles below, including the black and white dress. Enjoy ocean darlings...

Oh, and since I am an advertising sales representative in my day time job, I found Billabong's ads to be not only artistic, but eye catching and so bright and colorful! It makes me want to go the beach right now.

Oh, and even if some of your ladies don't live by the beach, which I know some of you don't, you can still rock Billabong! You can be a beautiful lady on a hott summer day in your yard, at a concert, or wherever these fierce and artistic colors of delight take you!

  8. Oh the bonfire sounds so fun. Where I go to school on the beach we can't have bonfires it's SO frustrating. I LOVE Billabong to and wear it all the time in FL but in D.C. it's so out of place :(.

  16. S'mores!!! Yumm!!! In my next life I really need to live in California.. I've always been envious of that whole live-by-the-beach lifestyle of an area like Laguna Beach.
I feel really out of it that I've never heard of Billabong! Great pieces you showed. I will have to check it out.
It has been raining all of June, which is SO unusual for the NY area, so no getting out to the beach for me still. :(

    Always love your posts. :)
    Cheers!

  25. Super sweet! Living in a tropical island you are ultimately forced into dressing super light and one of the best brands to shop is billabong, they sell them almost anywhere. It's great you had an awesome time, I should head to the beach sometime soon!
