Baby Shower and Wedding Gifties!

I feel like now that I am in my mid-twenties that all of my friends are either getting married or having babies! I am sure that I will catch up or fall behind in all due timing. I am in no rush to get married and know that their is plenty of time to settle down. I think my boyfriend would agree.

Anyway, I made a fun gift for my friend Laura who will soon have a little boy. I love the turquoise bag that I picked out for her baby gift with the mommy and her bulging belly. So precious! I made her a baby tag and a mommy to be necklace and purchased some adorable baby clothes and baby booties.

One of my best girlfriends just got engaged and she asked me to be her maid of honor! I am definitely flattered and can't wait to travel to the south for the first time. I wanted to send her a congratulations gift to Mississippi, so I decided to buy her a few magazines and I got her a notebook with the letter C on it, for Crystal. I made it cute by decorating it with stickers so she could write down her thoughts in the notebook. I sent the gift on its way today. I love giving gifts! It makes me happy and I love creating something that is personal for my friends.

Let Spring Time Begin with Easter

So I went to Target and got some pretty decorations for our dining room. I found the cutest bunny rabbit place mats and some delicious chocolate to go with it! I love having spring in my own apartment. :)

Simplistic Desk Decor

So I was given this old shabby chic organizer at work, since one of our old employees left it there long ago. I wasn't sure what to do with it since it has many circles, and I am no longer a nick nacky gal. So I thought to myself. What can I do with six shabby chic circles on my desk? So that night I went home and printed some small pictures and decorated them with some fun stickers. I wanted a way to put pictures of my loved ones at my desk without taking up all of my space. I need space to write and move about, so I thought this was my best decorating way to accomplish what I desired. This is what I came up with, and I really like my little invention. It is definitely me with the shabby chic and pictures dreamily settled into their little cubbyholes. It was fun to do some fun picture trading cards with stickers, too!

Craft Show Part II

Yesterday I shipped off my box of goodies to my mom for our boutique where I was raised in Utah. I'm excited for her to unpack it and set it up with her creations this weekend. I made some more necklaces, journal covers, and tags. I had such fun creating, while experimenting with new colors and ideas! The more I create the more I discover what works for me and what does not. I have discovered that I love swirlies and bright colors. I am also excited about incorporating stones, such as my opal domino necklace below, to the necklaces. Enjoy checking out my creations! Now that I have taken the last couple of weeks making over 30 necklaces, 15 journal covers, and tags, I am going to start a new hobby that I have been wanting to start for a while now.

I am going to learn how to play the guitar. I went to my first lesson with my roommate yesterday, and I am soooo excited! I know how to sing and play the piano, so I can't wait to play the guitar and sing along. Bri and my goal is to play the guitar for a bon-fire this summer.

Birthday Wishes

I decided to take some time tonight and create some simple cards with some necklaces for my two girlfriends Lizzie and Hillery. I thought to myself - what is a fun gift that I can make that is economical and from my heart? I already have been making game piece necklaces for my Etsy,(oceandreamsstudio.etsy.com) so I decided to make some for my friends as well. I loved how the opal heart necklace turned out. The opal was so small that I was afraid of losing it as I glued it on! I was so excited to put my necklaces and home made cards in an envelope and send it on its way tomorrow! I hope they like them! What a simple way to hopefully make someone's day. I know when I get cards and little gifts it makes my day...

A Little Bit of Fancy Delight

I bought an opal tunic on etsy about a week ago, and to my delight it arrived today! It is absolutely enchanting. I am going to wear it this summer to my brother's graduation in my home town and also at work. Isn't lace delicious? I love the vintage heritage that comes with creating a beautiful frock such as this tunic. It's so pretty that I don't even want to wear it. Ha ha, I think I would just be content staring at it as it hangs by my shabby chic dresser. Aww, I think I will just sigh right now.

Arriving package...

The beauty in an artistic business card

A personalized note is so kind and is the perfect touch.

Love this! It's perfectly pink.

Some delicious lace...

More romantic flights of fancy await me today...do they for you as well?

Confessions of a Shopaholic

I think it's okay for a girl to go shopping occasionally, don't you? I went shopping today after work and it was fabulous! I might be a shopaholic today, but not every day, I assure you. But for today only, I allowed myself to be a shopaholic, within means of course. I promise. I found some wonderful new items that I am excited to share. Hello Kitty MAC lip gloss, a green Eco-friendly dress, and some deliciously pink pants. I also found the Sex and the City book for $4 dollars at Urban Outfitters! I decided to be creative and take some pictures and have fun on Photoshop. Like I said, shopaholic today, only. Please, oh please, let this be true...

"You know that thing when you see someone cute and he smiles and your heart kind of goes like warm butter sliding down hot toast? Well that's what it's like when I see a store. Only it's better." ~ Rebecca Bloomwood, Confessions of a Shopaholic

Hello Kitty Lip Gloss from MAC. Love the pink, black, and white colors!

Unfortunately I can never resist a cute pair of pink pants.

Are you Eco-challenged? Heaven forbid Green might become the new Pink. Oh no!

I saved the best for last. This was a page out of my new Sex and the City book. Big and Carrie kissing...

She just wants a really big closet.

Ultimate shopping - a wedding gown. I love Carrie Bradshaw's gown, don't you? ;)
