magical summer cabin getaway

I'm back from spending a weekend away at our family cabin and it was heavenly. I finished the rest of my book Matched, caught up on a stack of magazines I've been wanting to read, and started the new novel that you all have probably heard of called Water For Elephants. Oh and I played the app Angry Birds on my Droid. Anyone else love this app as much as I do? I've never been into games (well, not since middle school,) but this one is pretty fun!
Thanks for comments in regards to my pigtail post. I'm glad that most of you feel that you can still wear them in your twenties and beyond. I certainly think so!

So this week I'll be participating in Pinteresting Wednesday with Michelle from The Vintage Apple and soon I'll be having another featured blogger guest post here! I also will be doing a post on some of my recent outfits, but I'm just not sure when. So stay tuned for that.

Other news - I've decided to have a giveaway! I'm not going to tell you what it is but I will say that I am going to post the giveaway this coming Friday. Yaaaay! ;)

I love going to our family cabin simply because it's so relaxing, beautiful, and I'm surrounded by nature. I've shown you pictures of my cabin in past posts, and you can visit it here and here if you haven't see and heard about my cabin before. I thought I would dedicate this post to showing you some gorgeous cabins that I found from WeHeartIt. Every time I look at them I'm in awe of the beauty of nature.
Nature and cabins for me evoke many different feelings and emotions. The words that come to mind is peace, tranquility, mystery, relaxation, wonder, and magical.

Why does a cabin setting feel magical to me? Well, because sometimes it feels surreal. I'm sitting in my living room in my cabin and I get to stair out at the river, soaking in the sunlight. Birds fly over the water, and if you watch close enough - you might even be able to see a moose or a dear in the distance. A cabin and the nature that surrounds it will always be magical to me. I'm so blessed to have my family cabin.

Have you been to a cabin for a getaway? What kind of feelings did it evoke for you?
