All About Absorbing and Amazing Dry Shampoo

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TRESemmé for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have a confession. I have a really oily scalp which leads to oily hair. It really gets annoying because I straighten my hair and by the next day my hair strands are already sticking together. Gross! Oil on your hair and face are generally a good thing because they keep you looking younger (more moisture,) but when it comes to my hair it's frustrating. I don't like washing my hair every day or every other day!

I didn't really know that much about dry shampoo, but then I heard about this product and how it works wonders on your hair. You spray it in your hair and then massage it in, evenly distributing it throughout your hair. TRESemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo I admit is not a product that I've tried yet, but from all of the positive reviews I'm most definitely going to head out and buy some. Oily hair no more!!

So I actually did not understand how to use TRESemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo or any dry shampoo for that matter, so here are some tips on how to get the best results for your hair:

1. Shake the dry shampoo product prior to using so that it gets all mixed up. Also shake in-between spraying in your hair.

2. Don't forget about sections of your dry hair and spray gently at your roots.

3. Holding the bottle 8-12" away from your hair, spray in short bursts.

4. Don't over do it. This isn't hair spray. ;) Leave it in for 1-2 minutes. Now use a brush or use your fingers to distribute the product all over your hair. Tada! Your hair is refreshed and clean.

I can't wait to try this dry shampoo! It cleans your hair and absorbs oil and any odor without any water! The citrus extracts leave a pleasant smell in your hair as well.

Here is what their full line includes:

o Strengthening Dry Shampoo: The formula, with B12 vitamins and keratin, helps strengthen hair and leaves it full of healthy body.

o Volumizing Dry Shampoo: The formula, with mineral clay and citrus, removes oil while injecting hair with salon-gorgeous volume.

o Smoothing Dry Shampoo: The formula, with Vitamin H & Silk Proteins, refreshes your straight style by removing excess oil, impurities and odor to ensure your smooth look lasts.

o Moisturizing Waterless Foam Shampoo: The formula, with Witch Hazel, Citrus, and Aloe Vera, refreshes your hair by removing excess oil, impurities and odor while moisturizing hair.

Last, but certainly not least, Tanya Burr has teamed up with TRESemme and created a video tutorial so that you know how to use your dry shampoo correctly. You can watch it below! She is also giving away a $500 Gift Card to TARGET so be sure to enter after watching the video! ;)

I can't wait to head out and buy some dry shampoo and freshen up my oily (let's be honest here) locks!

  1. I've tried a couple of brands and Batiste (the tropical scent) is my favourite. It's totally like washing and drying your; all I have to do is run a flat iron over it and out the door I go :D

  3. I haven't tried a dry shampoo - can't wait to hear how it works for you! I wash my hair every day (which my hairdresser says is unnecessary, but if I don't it just looks disgusting), so it would be nice to have a break from it - and the blowdryer! Very informative post, dear! xo
