oh, just some updates on life

Hi Ocean Dreamers, how are you? I thought I would post some updates since I haven't done so in a while - hope you all are having a great weekend!

I'm missing sunny CA something fierce right now. I can't wait to go back mid November - it's been too long! But, I've been enjoying Utah and working keeps me busy. Plus, fall time is just beautiful! Here's what I've been up to, in the form of pictures. :)

I just finished a 8 part mini series called The Pillars of the Earth. It's based off of a book that I haven't read but perhaps now after watching the series I will want to! It took me a few of the episodes to get into it, but by the end I was hooked! The actors are great and I like the time period and religious elements. Plus, there's a great love story. Ever heard of the actor Matthew MacFadyen? Not only is this red head cute, but he plays one of the main characters in the series! Together him and actress Hayley Atwell sizzle. I had to hold my breath many times because I thought they wouldn't get their happy ending - but that's all I will say for now without spoiling anything! You must check it out if you have some serious time to burn, lol! Either that or watch it over a series of days. Beware - there is a lot of sex and violence (not as much as Braveheart lol) but it is a great series!

Have you heard of Influenster.com? It's this amazing site that I am now addicted to. You review what you love and then hopefully you get picked to enjoy a Influenster box where you'll be able to try awesome product and review it! I'm hoping that I get picked to receive a box soon - there are some great brands and more out there that I would love to discover! ;) Check out Influenster and let me know if you need an invite. ;)

I've also still been working out and going to some amazing classes. A lot. However, I'm still struggling with losing weight. I lost 6 pounds and then put a few pounds back on. It's an on going struggle but I love my classes and am determined to keep on pushing forward despite having weak days occasionally with food. My work out clothes {currently obsessed with Fire Daughter Clothing on Etsy} make me even more motivated to work out. Loooove! Plus, you have to admit that the seller of Fire Daughter Clothing is just beautiful. Inside and out! She has great workout apparel with a great message (Bible verses too)!

Here's what I bought from her shop {not including one more tank not pictured}.

I'm starting a cleanse from Philosophie; a wonderful company (and owner named Sophie!) who makes some delicious protein mixes and more! They were just featured on HelloGiggles and there's a great article if you want to check it out: Philosophie Superfood Powders. I am loving the powders because they aren't chalky tasting like most powders I've tried. You put about a tablespoon of the mix in your normal smoothie and mix it up in your blender! Yum! I'm hoping the cleanse will help me lose some lbs and I'm looking forward to challenging myself to eat healthy with yummy soups and no sugar as well! Good luck me. ;)

I just caved and purchased my first Coach purse. I'm not a huge fan of Coach (don't hurt me!) but I am a fan of this purse. I looove the "mermaid" color and design. Can't wait to receive it!!!

I've started to watch Everwood for the first time! I only watched a few episodes years ago and decided to watch it in its entirety! I'm on the second to the last disk on season one and I'm loving it. I really want Ephram and Amy to get together, which I know will happen eventually but I have 4 seasons to watch so it's going to be a fun ride! Plus, it's fun seeing Emily from Revenge on Everwood! :) Gosh she looks so young.

  1. Okay, first I need to say congratulations on watching Everwood. It is one of my all-time favorite shows and I'm actually jealous because you get to experience it for the first time. You will LOVE it. Now that that nerdy part is over, good luck with your workouts and your cleanse. You're amazing to be working so hard, and you will definitely see the payoff! Have a great week!
